2. Getting started with WHODrug Global

The aim of this course is to introduce participants to the essential steps for getting started with Uppsala Monitoring Centre's (UMC's) Drug Dictionary WHODrug Global, including loading data files, conducting basic searches, and becoming familiar with the applications and services within the WHODrug portfolio.
This course is part 2 in the series of WHODrug Global courses.
To enrol in this course, you must meet the following requirements:
  • You are affiliated with an organisation with an active subscription for UMC’s Drug Dictionary, WHODrug Global.
  • You have a personal user account. If you do not have a user account, contact your organisation’s Access Manager. If they are unable to help, or you do not know who your Access Manager is, contact UMC at support@who-umc.org.
      • Length: 30 minutes

What you will learn

By the end of this course, you will be able to:
  • Explain how the WHODrug files can be implemented in a coding system.
  • Explain how to make basic searches in WHODrug Insight.
  • Identify how often the dictionary is released.
  • Identify how to retrieve newly added information in upcoming data.
  • Explain how Change Analysis Tool (CAT) can be used to change from different WHODrug versions.
  • Recall where the various WHODrug applications and services can be accessed.
